The Revival of Old Dogmas: How a Former Beauty Queen Became a Bridge Between the Far Right and the Far Left on Antisemitism

Former Miss California Carrie Prejean Boller is helping draw together far-right and far-left antisemitic narratives around Epstein, Zionism and the fantasy of a “hidden cabal”

In recent weeks, Carrie Prejean Boller, the former Miss California who emerged as an anti-LGBTQ+ activist and recent convert to Catholicism, has thrust herself into the spotlight with antisemitic allegations linking global injustices to an opaque network of influence. Known for her reactionary positions on faith, politics, and social issues, Prejean Boller has faced widespread criticism for her comments. According to Prejean Boller, the Epstein affair is not merely a story of isolated perversion but a symptom of a deeper, orchestrated plan by powerful elites aimed at normalizing heinous acts against children. She directly connects this to ongoing crises, such as the situation in Gaza, and suggests the existence of a cabal of politicians and influencers who turn a blind eye to atrocities for their own gain.

Prejean Boller's delusions have recently drawn significant attention following her appearance at the White House Religious Liberty Commission, from which she was removed in February 2026 after a heated hearing on antisemitism. During the hearing, held at the Museum of the Bible, Prejean Boller challenged witnesses on definitions of antisemitism and insisted that her Catholic faith implies no support for Israel or Zionism. “Catholics do not embrace Zionism, just so you know. So are all Catholics antisemites?” she asked, thus turning a meeting on combating antisemitism into a tribunal against Israel and its supporters.

Standing with Candace Owens against the "synagogue of Satan”

Her remarks went far beyond mere theology and plunged deep into the rabbit hole of conspiracy thinking. At the Washington meeting, she defended the notorious antisemite Candace Owens against Seth Dillon, a conservative Christian podcaster. According to Prejean Boller, Owens' statements were absolutely not antisemitic, but merely political remarks directed against Zionism. She listens to Owens every day and claimed she has never heard an antisemitic remark from her. This, despite the fact that Owens has drawn on nearly the entire classic antisemitic repertoire: she has accused Jewish conservative critics like Ben Shapiro of belonging to the “synagogue of Satan” (Revelation 3:9-12), an expression rooted in apocalyptic biblical interpretations often used in Christian conspiracy circles. She has also launched the ritual accusation against Rabbi Shmuley Boteach of drinking “Christian blood.” Owens also points to an alleged Jewish involvement in historical injustices such as black slavery and the persecution of Christians in revolutionary Russia (which she falsely labels a “Christian Holocaust”). Owens also doubts the “official version” of the Holocaust and says it resembles a lot of “bizarre propaganda.”

Prejean Boller holds an extreme version of Christian “supersessionism" (or replacement theology), the idea that God has rejected the Jews and that the Catholic Church is the new Israel. An opinion that, within the Roman Catholic Church, is supported nowadays only in the most reactionary fundamentalist wings. But she, a recent convert, thinks she knows better than most Catholics and the Catholic Church itself. The Jews not only rejected Christ, she continues, they also killed him, just as they did to so many innocent Gazans, whether or not members of Hamas – which is strangely absent completely in her analysis of the conflict.

According to her, this idea has nothing to do with antisemitism at all but has constituted the heart of the Catholic faith for more than 2,000 years. She claims that corrupt and cowardly Evangelical Zionists have hijacked the Christian faith to protect Israel from criticism over the genocide (which she calls a Holocaust) against Palestinian Christians and Muslims. This slanderous accusation of antisemitism is merely a pretext to silence critics and brainwash the population. The hearing of the commission against alleged antisemitism is nothing but an psy-op to stifle legitimate criticism of Israel. The entire U.S. government is under the thumb of this Zionist cabal (and this includes Trump who has failed tos peak up for her).

Catholics and others must resist this “Zionist supremacy” (which she sometimes also calls “Jewish supremacy”), which is an attack on religious liberty for Catholics and all other religious beliefs. The point of contention is the International Holocaust Rembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, which according to her would disqualify any criticism of Zionism or Israel and even criminalize Christianity. Prejean Boller proceeds from the opposite principle: criticizing Israel and/or Zionism is never, absolutely never, antisemitic. Apart from the fact that the IHRA has never formulated it that way (quite the contrary, in the definition one can read: “criticism of Israel similar to that leveled against any other country cannot be regarded as antisemitic”), there are undoubtedly many variants of anti-Zionism that are indeed antisemitic - Starting with her own variant.  she wanted to argue that her anti-Zionism cannot by definition be antisemitic, she has miserably failed.

Harking back to ancient ecclesiastical antisemitism

Her views appear to be a belated echo of the institutionalized religious antisemitism that was commonplace in the Roman Catholic Church before the Second Vatican Council in 1964 condemned  “hatred and persecutions of Jews” and the notion that Jewish people are “guilty of deicide”, while calling for  “mutual knowledge and respect” between Catholics and JewsBut since then, enormous changes have taken place in Catholic theology. She has probably missed them all. For her, this turning point simply does not exist, and she speaks of dogmas that have been held unchanged for two thousand years (if it were only a matter of antiquity, Prejean Boller could consider a conversion to Judaism, which is even older). In spite of her claim to represent all Catholics in the world, and despite her repeated and desperate appeals to fellow ultraconservative Catholic conspiracists like the Kremlin parroting Maga influencer Jack Posobiec and US Vice President J.D. Vance, she has so far found support only from a marginal reactionary group like Catholics for Catholics (who have proclaimed her the champion of Catholics)  and, of course, also of her mentor the Holocaust-denying podcaster Owens. Moreover the Vatican has recognized Israel since 1993, independent of any Biblical prophecy.

Inventing a nexus between Epstein, Gaza and the killing of children

At the center of Prejean Boller's narrative is what she describes as an “evil swamp” of complicit Zionist leaders. In a joint Instagram post with her comrade-in-arms Sameerah Munshi, Prejean Boller wrote: “The politicians who refuse to condemn the Israeli government for the starvation and genocide of the Palestinians are the same ones unmoved by the Epstein crimes. Gaza was a precursor to the release of the Epstein files. Their goal: normalize and justify the torture and murder of innocent children... Arrest these monsters. Drain the evil swamp. End Palestinian genocide. Defund Israel.” This statement paints the picture of a malevolent cabal of shadowy figures in politics and beyond who would use events like the conflict in Gaza to desensitize the public to the killing of children. Jeffrey Epstein, the financier convicted of sex trafficking of minors, died in 2019 under suspicious circumstances, fueling countless conspiracy speculations. Epstein's ties to high-profile figures, including politicians, celebrities, and billionaires, have long suggested a network of protection. Prejean Boller reinforces this by implying that the same forces ignoring Palestinian suffering protect Epstein's enablers. She explicitly labels this cabal as “Jewish” and “satanic,” heavily relying on Candace Owens, who herself spreads QAnon-like theories about Jewish cabals and satanic influences.

Prejean Boller’s tweets shed further light on her views. In one of them, she denounces “Zionist supremacy in America”: “I will continue to fight against Zionist supremacy in America. I am a proud Catholic. I will in no way be forced to embrace Zionism as the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. I am a free American. Not a slave to a foreign nation.” Critics rightly point out that Prejean Boller's rhetoric enters dangerous ground and revives blood libel-like tropes by linking the normalization of child murder to pro-Israel positions. Jewish Insider reported that Prejean Boller and Munshi pointed the finger at a “shadowy cabal” responsible for both the crisis in Gaza and Epstein's crimes, framing it as part of a broader “Zionist supremacy.”

A Catholic convert on a crusade against Jews

She claims that her Catholic faith supports her opposition: “As a Catholic, I do not agree that the new, modern State of Israel has any biblical prophetic meaning.” She confuses theology and political opinions. Probably in reaction to her evangelical past, where political positions had to be directly deduced from the Bible. The “satanic” element in Prejean Boller's implied cabal manifests in her defense of Owens and expressions like “evil swamp,” which evoke demonic connotations in conspiracy literature. Owens' rhetoric often mixes Christian apocalypticism with antisemitic plots, suggesting cabals involved in ritual crimes. Prejean Boller's call to “arrest these monsters” reinforces this, portraying the cabal as inhuman predators who normalize child torture through the horrors in Gaza as a “precursor.”

Prejean Boller's views establish a direct link between Epstein's elite circle, geopolitical conflicts, and religious ideologies. Her narrative underscores a firm belief in a hidden cabal led by Jews, driven by Zionism and satanically malevolent, pulling the strings behind child murder and global conflicts. As debates rage, Prejean Boller remains combative and extremely self-assured: “I can criticize any government that kills innocent lives, and I will do so.” Her story highlights the extremely dangerous mix of fundamentalist religious faith, conservative politics, and conspiratorial thinking in America of 2026.

Making common cause with the antisemitic extreme left

In a by now rather unsurprising convergence of political extremes, Prejean Boller has garnered endorsements from figures on the far left, underscoring how antisemitism can bridge ideological divides between the conspiracist right and left. Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur of The Young Turks (TYT), a progressive media outlet often criticised for promoting conspiratorial narratives on Israel, hosted Prejean Boller on their show on February 17, 2026. They amplified her views, with Kasparian framing Prejean Boller's stance as a bold stand against overbroad definitions of antisemitism. They didn't even push back when Prejean Boller came with the oldest of antisemitic tropes: the alleged killing of Jesus by THE Jews.

TYT's platforming of Prejean Boller effectively endorses her rhetoric, aligning their anti-Israel commentary with her extreme right-wing talking points. In the past, they were extremely harsh critics of personalities like Carrie Prejean Boller, Tucker Carlson, and Owens. However, recently, Kasparian appeared as a guest on Carlson's show, and she and Uygur even expressed their appreciation for  Owens. Uygur also now doubts the 'official version' of 9/11.

Similarly, Rima Hassan, a French-Syrian Member of the European Parliament claiming Palestinian background, who is from the violent extreme left party of Jean-Luc Mélenchon La France Insoumise (France Unbowed), publicly supported Prejean Boller on Elon Musk’s X, quoting her assertion that "Catholics do not adhere to Zionism" and highlighting her dismissal as evidence of suppression. Hassan, a frequent employer of antisemitic images and narratives, validated Prejean Boller's far right-inspired claims, praising her resistance. This alliance of the extremes exemplifies antisemitism's unifying power: conspiracist elements on the conspiracist right, like Prejean Boller and allies such as Owens, echo tropes of Jewish control, while the far left, via TYT and Hassan, channels anti-Zionism into similar demonization of Israel and all Jews. What begins as "criticism" often veers into age-old prejudices and even Jew hate, forging unlikely bonds across the political spectrum and eroding nuanced discourse on religious freedom and geopolitics.
